Our team at Baan Thai believes that food should be healthy as well as deliciously exciting to the taste buds. Our cooking methods are healthier, keeping oils and fat to a minimum while using a full spectrum of the wonderful flavours that Thai food is famous for.

Our team of highly skilled Thai food chefs and our serving staff work hard each day to deliver the finest authentic Thai cuisine with the best customer service. We are sure that you will have a very worthwhile dining experience with us. We also offer take-out, home and office delivery, and even catering.
Thai SELECT
The Thai SELECT is a mark of certification awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, to guarantee the authenticity of Thai restaurants and Thai food products, meaning the food being served or merchandised has been prepared with proper ingredients and spices in the traditional Thai style of cooking.

We focus on using the highest quality, healthiest, local ingredients. Such as Rossdown Organic hala chicken, Canadian Angus beef sirloin, Sakura Pork farms, Silk road tea, Hoyne, Philips, Driftwood breweries, and numerous other local businesses for our monthly features.

Pad Thai was great, huge portion. Rice bowl also great. Lamb rice cups well done, hot sauce was on the side fortunately. Was hottest I've had in a bit. The crispy squid was sadly flaccid with coating coming off.

Oak Bay Baan Thai is my dad’s favourite restaurant so we come here every Sunday. The food is always delicious and the portions are large. At lunch, don’t forget to ask for the complimentary soup and a $2 spring roll. Lei and Koki is often our server, and both of them are always welcoming, charismatic and knowledgeable of Thai food and culture.

The food is incredible! The kitchen definitely has it perfected. Top faves besides the awesome happy hour and late night menu are the beef brisket noodle soup or the lamb massoman. The classic green curry and Tom yum soup are also on my regular rotation. The staff are all friendly. Tonight our server, Francesca, was such a delight! She had a full house and managed it all with grace.

Outstanding!!! A Google search revealed this was the most authentic Thai restaraunt in Victoria - and we were not dissapointed!! We shared the Massaman Lamb curry which was absolutely delicious - service was great and personal, I think we have found our new local Thai 😋 😀

Grady was our server and he was so awesome. especially for a chill sunday, he matched the relaxed vibe of the night perfectly. the guys a natural. my husband and i will be back soon and hope to have him as a server again. and he seemed genuinely excited to tell the cook how much i was enjoying my food.speaking of which, i ordered the prawn ceviche from their summer menu and holy cow. sooooo good. I actually got to meet the cook, Nath, because dang it was SOOO good. he’s really really great. the food was delicious and SO beautiful. i *almost* felt bad digging into such a beautiful presentation. PERFECT ratio of crispy wontons:ceviche.over all, VERY pleased with our sunday night meal. i hope management knows how lucky they are!!! thanks Grady and Nath! you made my night:-)
